Victorian (1837 – 1901)
Queen Victoria was the reigning monarch during the Victorian Period. It was a period of peace, prosperity, and virtue. A wealthy middle class arose and along with it the demand for affordable jewellery. This period also saw the emergence of the Romantic, Mystical and Revival styles.
Art Nouveau (1890 – 1914)
Art Nouveau was an artistic period between 1890 and 1914 that arose largely in response to blurry impressionism. The main sources of inspiration for this art movement were nature, an optimistic world view and faith in the future.
Art Deco (1919 – 1939)
Art Deco was a popular art movement from 1919 to 1939 that had a significant influence on decorative and applied art. This movement was somewhat eclectic in that it featured a combination of different styles and art movements from the early twentieth century.
