In 1984, GL Nederland acquired the jewellery factory of Koninklijke van Kempen en Begeer and along with it the proud cultural heritage of the Dutch silver industry: more than 30,000 hand-crafted original moulds.

The moulds were for jewellery pieces inspired by famous designers from the Victorian, Art Nouveau, and Art Deco periods, such as René Lalique, George Fouquet, Alphonse Mucha, Josef Hoffman and many others. GL Nederland combines traditional Dutch craftsmanship with state-of-the-art technology. In doing so, it is preserving a long-standing tradition while creating a collection that brings the past to life: Timeless Classics.

A good example is that of the royal awards produced with commitment and passion by GL Nederland for the Chancellery of the Dutch orders for the past two decades. It is a great honour and a testament to the high quality that this Dutch factory and its proud silversmiths strive to uphold.
